“Excuses at Suppertime”, Luke 14:16-24. It is part of the sinful nature to make excuses. It is always someone else’s fault why we can’t behave correctly or why we can’t get something done on time. Honestly, we usually don’t have to put a lot of thought into it. The parable today from Jesus should get our attention when it comes to rejecting HIS invitation to HIS supper. Whatever excuse we are using won’t grant us an excusal. What is your excuse for not coming to Christ? What is your excuse for not coming to church?
