“Remaining with God”, 1 John 2:3-17. Many people are quite troubled wondering if they are truly saved. God tells John exactly what to write to address this situation. Obedience to his word is a result of salvation. There will always be obstacles to obedience, but if he truly lives in us, we will abide in him (vs6).
“Fellowship with God”, 1 John 1. Today we begin a series in line with our January Bible Study entitled “Living with Assurance”. One major thing we have learned through Covid is people need interaction with others. Zoom and Facebook Live meets a little of that need but not like personal fellowship. Today we see that true fellowship begins with a true relationship with the one who created us.
“Christian Suffering”, 1 Peter 4:12-19. Many people, even Christians have the misconception that once you’re saved, life will be a breeze. The early church knew this NOT to be the case. But even as they scattered away from Jerusalem, they continued to preach the Gospel and endured suffering. God’s message of encouragement to those suffering saints is becoming more timely today. When you suffer, give God the glory. The prize will be worth it!
