Corinth Baptist Church will be celebrating its 150th HOMECOMING TODAY at 10am EST. Special guests will include UNDIVIDED, Pastor Charles Johnson, the CBC Choir, and the original FORTRESS (Ken, Russell, Hugh, and Kyle).
“Mama’s Words”, Proverbs 31:1-9. When we think of Godly women, we go to Proverbs 31...and we should. But most of the time that reading begins at verse 10. Today we look at the prophecy Solomon’s mother gave to him as a man before talking about all the wonderful attributes of a good mother.
“Patience in This Life, Part 2, Genesis 22:1-14. When God declares a plan or promise, you can rest assured it will come to pass just like he says. Our problem as believers is patience. Patience is not in our DNA. We want our will to be done in our timing. When we try to insert our will and way, we get an Ishmael. Trusting God when it doesn’t make sense is a true exercise of faith!
“Patience in This Life”, James 6:1-11. As our nation’s media continues to portray evil as normal, it is easy not to get either angry or discouraged. For every situation we encounter here on earth, the Bible provides an answer for the day. Today we study how those who seem the most powerful because of means and unrighteousness will truly be the ones lacking at his return. Wait on the Lord patiently...he IS coming back!
“Sincere Ministry”, 2 Corinthians 4:1-12. As we still celebrate the empty tomb, we look at what real authentic ministry looks like for the believer. Ministry that is real is never meant to manipulate anyone, yet many use the cross as a way to entice people dishonestly for selfish gain. When the real Gospel is preached, it must be about JESUS! There is no Gospel without him, the cross, and the empty tomb.
